Readathon-Poetry Reading by Ms Cheri Chan
As the theme of this year Readathon is Poetry Appreciation, we were very fortunate to have a very special guest speaker to come and speak to our S. 1-3 students on Feb 5 during the activity time. Ms Cheri Chan, a lecturer from the English Department of the University of Hong Kong, imparted her passion of poetry to our students with her enchanting readings of e. e. cummings' poems and the thought-provoking Milly Molly stories. She also taught our students how to become effective speakers.
Not only has Ms Chan's talk inspired our students to grow in the appreciation of poetry, it is also very practical!!
